HAVELSAN, a leading software-based solutions provider in the Turkish defense industry, will showcase its command and control, simulation, robotic autonomous, artificial intelligence, and smart/safe city technologies at SAHA EXPO 24, held at the Istanbul Expo Center (IFM) from October 22 to 26.
As one of the world’s leading companies in command and control technologies, HAVELSAN will present the Network-Centric Data Integrated Combat Management System ADVENT SYS, which is used on more than 50 platforms of the Turkish Navy and exported to four countries. Additionally, one of the world’s most advanced command and control technologies, the Air Force Information System (HvBS), will be introduced in the C4I Room. Demonstrations of the Tactical Command and Control System HARBİYE/DOOB, the Coastal Surveillance Radar System (SGRS), and the Vessel Traffic Management System (MATRA VTS) will also take place in the C4I Room.
HAVELSAN’s original technology based on swarm algorithms, Digital Troop, will be showcased alongside unmanned air, land, and sea vehicles BAHA, BARKAN, and SANCAR. For the first time at SAHA EXPO 24, the CENGAVER-ASGER-Digital Troop concept will be introduced. A new product in the command and control field, Time Server, will also be presented for the first time via kiosks, specifically for SAHA EXPO 24. HAVELSAN’s CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear defense system) will also make its debut at SAHA EXPO 24 with a new drone.
Additionally, HAVELSAN’s Generative Artificial Intelligence Platform MAIN, introduced earlier this year, will be available for hands-on experience, marking its first international exhibition presentation. The MANPADS Rocket Simulator product demonstration will also be shown for the first time at SAHA EXPO 24.
SIMULATION SYSTEMS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES
HAVELSAN’s simulation, autonomous, and platform management technology products and solutions will be introduced via video demonstrations at SAHA EXPO 24. Underwater command and control solutions and joint command control capabilities will also be
presented through videos and presentations.
HAVELSAN’s Electronic Warfare Test and Training Range (EWTTR) project will be showcased through a scale model demonstration, while the Next-Generation Business Management System KOVAN and City Security Management System (CSMS) will be presented interactively at the event.
DIGITAL TROOPS EQUIPPED WITH ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES TO BE SHOWCASED FOR THE FIRST TIME AT SAHA EXPO 24
HAVELSAN will demonstrate the latest advancements in its Digital Troop Technology for the first time at SAHA EXPO 24, with a hands-on exhibition. The Digital Soldier Product Family CENGAVER, Mixed Reality Product Family ASGER, C4I Product Family DOOB, and middleware software OCTOPUS will further empower digital troops.
Future Digital Defense Technologies: CENGAVER, DOOB, and ASGER
The combination of CENGAVER, DOOB, and ASGER brings future technologies to military troops today. HAVELSAN has added new capabilities to its swarm-based Digital Troop technology, which it has been working on for some time. This technology aims to make military troops’ joint operations with unmanned systems and platforms autonomous. With the integration of CENGAVER, DOOB, and ASGER, the Digital Troop technology has reached a much more effective level.
For the first time, the demonstration at SAHA EXPO 24 will showcase the power of digital troops through the field applications of CENGAVER. Real-time monitoring of activity, health, and location data, accelerating strategic decision-making processes through C4I, and providing clearer situational awareness through mixed reality technology offers unparalleled strength to digital troops. Innovative features such as tracking key personnel/assets using ultra-wideband-based UAVs, precise landing/takeoff, and indoor positioning also take the concept of the digital soldier a step further.
These systems, equipped with a strong software infrastructure and innovative sensors, will offer the most advanced solutions in defense technologies, ensuring maximum efficiency and security at every stage of defense operations.
THE TECHNOLOGIES BEHIND THAT BRING NEW SUPERIOR FEATURES TO DIGITAL TROOPS
CENGAVER: Digital Soldier Product Family
- CENGAVER is a comprehensive digital soldier solution developed to monitor the health and activity data of military personnel.
- The system is equipped with components such as the Activity and Health Tracking Watch, Portable Computer, Positioning Unit, and Radio, which integrate with the DOOB-Mobile command and control application via Bluetooth.
- It collects and transmits real-time data such as pulse, oxygen levels, body temperature, physical activity, and GNSS-based (outdoor) or ultra-wideband-based (indoor) location information. Thus, the status of personnel can be continuously monitored across a wide range, from tactical fields to strategic headquarters. With the “VIP Tracking” capability, UAVs provide highly accurate data; UAV location, orientation, and speed information can be monitored through the DOOB product family. The capability of precise takeoff and landing using ultra-wideband will also be part of the demonstration.
- DOOB: C4I Product Family
- The DOOB product family ensures top-level information flow between units in the field and the headquarters as a C4I (Command, Control, Communication, Computers, and Intelligence) system. The DOOB-Mobile command control application receives data from CENGAVER via Bluetooth and transfers it to DOOB-Headquarters, integrating with the central C4I system. UAV integration enables the secure monitoring and tracking of designated personnel and areas.
ASGER: Mixed Reality Product Family
- SGER takes operational awareness to a new level by incorporating Mixed Reality (MR) technology into military operations.
- Data from CENGAVER and UAVs are displayed in real-time and in three dimensions through both screens and MR glasses via the ASGER system. This allows for faster tactical decision-making, with three different users simultaneously able to observe the data of field personnel and UAVs in 3D.
OCTOPUS: Ensuring Seamless Data Flow
- The products CENGAVER, DOOB, and ASGER communicate through middleware software called OCTOPUS, which was developed in accordance with JDSS (Joint Dismounted Soldier System) standards. OCTOPUS organizes data transfer between systems, ensuring seamless integration of all units in the field and at headquarters.
