STM showcases defence solutions at AAD 2024

STM in AAD 2024

STM is taking part in the fair with their solutions in marine engineering and tactical mini UAV systems.

Turkish defence industry company STM, which is exhibiting at AAD 2024, which is the largest aviation and defence fair in Africa, is taking part in the fair with their solutions in marine engineering and tactical mini UAV systems.

In addition, STM hosts high-level visitors at its stand and carries out promotional activities.

Notably, STM hosted the President of the Republic of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa. Ramaphosa received detailed information about STM’s marine engineering solutions and tactical mini UAV systems.

In addition, the Turkish Ambassador to Pretoria/South Africa, Ayşegül Kandaş, and the Commander of the South African Naval Forces, Vice Admiral Monde Lobese, also visited STM’s stand. Lobese also received information about SRM’s cutting-edge defense engineering solutions.

Also, the Chief of Staff of the Niger Army, Brigadier General Moussa Salaou Barmou, Operations Manager of ARMSCOR Dockyard, South Africa and Tanzania delegations visited STM’s booth at the AAD2024 to learn more about their naval engineering solutions and tactical mini UAV systems.

STM will continue its activities at AAD 2024, which will last until September 22.

This is not the first time STM is in South Africa for the AAD exhibition. Similarly, STM displayed its naval platforms and tactical mini-UAV systems on the large Turkish pavilion at the Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) 2022 exhibition.

At the time, the Turkish company announced that it’s Kargu strike UAV attracted Africa’s attention.

THE KARGU®️ is a portable, rotary-wing attack drone designed to provide tactical ISR and precision strike capabilities for ground troops. KARGU®️ is capable of performing fully autonomous navigation vis STM’s unique flight control system. In addition, the platform is able to perform precision strikes for low signature, beyond-line-of-sight targets.

The Turkish STM disclosed during the AAD 2022 that it is working with more than 20 countries in the area of technology transfer and business development activities, from South America to the Far East.
