On Tuesday, the Y-20 executed six complex maneuvers, including large angle ascension and dive, large slope turning, and fast landing, highlighting its outstanding maneuverability. This performance not only showcased the aircraft’s capabilities but also underscored China’s advancements in aviation technology.
The Egypt International Airshow provided a platform for China to display a wide selection of its defense products, reflecting high levels of military exchanges and pragmatic cooperation between China and Egypt. Prior to the airshow, the Y-20 and J-10 fighter jets flew over the Giza Pyramids on August 28, symbolizing the deep friendship between the two nations.

The event also marked the Bayi Aerobatic Team’s first performance mission in an African country, according to Xie Peng, a PLA Air Force spokesperson. China’s participation in the airshow, including the flight performances of the Y-20 and J-10 aircraft, is seen as a move to enhance military exchanges and cooperation with Egypt and other African countries. Analysts suggest that these performances could attract more potential clients in the region, further expanding China’s influence in the defense sector.
