IDF selects IMCO to provide Namer sub-system

IMCO Group takes great pride in being a trusted supplier of the IDF

IMCO Group has been selected again by the Israeli Ministry of Defense to provide dozens of platform electrical sub-systems for the “Namer 1500” Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

This substantial continuation order which was received in Q3 and valued at approximately 25.2 million NIS (more than 6 million $), fortifies IMCO Group’s role as a leading supplier of the Israeli Ministry of Defense for its most advanced armored platforms.

IMCO Group’s subsidiaries, IMCO Projects, Nir-Or, ADTI, and EMT, will produce and provide the platform electrical sub-systems. Those include advanced electrical and video sub-systems, electric power and control units, operational control panels, illumination solutions, Health and Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS) sub-systems, and electronic infrastructure for weapon systems. Altogether, these elements contribute to the unparalleled capabilities of the “Namer 1500” APC, ensuring optimal performance, survivability, and enhanced situational awareness.

IMCO Group’s solutions are already installed and operational on various IDF armored vehicles, such as the Namer and Eitan (8X8) Armored fighting vehicles (AFVs) and the Merkava tank.

IMCO Group CEO, Mr. Ariel Kandel said, “IMCO Group takes great pride in being a trusted supplier of the IDF, developing and equipping the IDF’s most advanced armored vehicles with the company’s various sub-systems. We are working around the clock these days, providing the IDF logistic support and maintenance services for its armored vehicles which are in intense operation. IMCO Group’s strength lies in the seamless integration of its collective capabilities, which allows us to handle complex projects with a comprehensive approach, drawing on the specialized knowledge and capabilities of each entity within our group.”

Likewise, this September, IMCO Group’s subsidiary, Nir-Or, renowned for its innovation in electro-optic and power management systems for military applications, has secured a contract to provide an advanced situational awareness system to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) for their armored bulldozers. This cutting-edge system encompasses a video matrix, operator display, and hatch controller, promising to elevate the operational capabilities of these vital vehicles.

At the heart of Nir-Or’s system is a state-of-the-art video management system that acts as a video aggregator, seamlessly integrating various video feeds from the bulldozer’s systems. This integration offers operators a consolidated and clear view of their surroundings, significantly enhancing their situational awareness while inside the armored vehicle. Utilizing touch-screen technology, Nir-Or’s Video Management System places complete control over the vehicle’s actions within the operator’s grasp, optimizing operational efficiency and reinforcing operational safety.
