Russia’s dedication to developing state-of-the-art military optics continues with the introduction of the PKU-2M collimator sight. Designed and produced by the renowned Novosibirsk Instrument-Making Plant (NPZ), this innovative sight promises improved accuracy and performance for riflemen.

The PKU-2M collimator sight is engineered to provide precision daylight and night vision optics. It is specifically designed for monitoring the terrain and conducting aimed fire using weapons equipped with an upper Picatinny/Weaver rail. What sets the PKU-2M apart is its exceptionally low parallax value for red dot sights. This feature ensures that the aiming point stays on target, even with shifts in the shooter’s perspective.

The modernized PKU-2M collimator sight boasts an array of improved features. Notably, it offers six gradations of brightness, allowing shooters to adapt to varying environmental conditions and select the most comfortable modes for executing tasks. This flexibility is invaluable in situations where quick adjustments are necessary.

One of the standout elements of the PKU-2M is the Point K high-contrast technology. This innovative beam-splitter coating ensures a high brightness level for the aiming mark while maintaining the natural color rendition of the background. This results in superior contrast between the aiming mark and the background, enhancing target acquisition and aiming accuracy.

The PKU-2M’s robust build further adds to its appeal. It is constructed with durability in mind, featuring shock resistance and exceptional dust- and moisture-proof properties. This ensures that the sight can perform reliably in challenging field conditions, making it an ideal choice for military applications.

An important advancement in the PKU-2M collimator sight is its significantly extended operating time. It can function for up to 10,000 hours without requiring a power source replacement. This extended battery life is a boon for riflemen who may be engaged in lengthy operations without access to replacements.

The PKU-2M collimator sight is set to play a crucial role as it is proposed for deployment with flight crews. These crews will be equipped with either the 5.56-mm shortened Kalashnikov AK-19 assault rifle or the 9-mm Kalashnikov PPK-20 submachine gun, both featuring the new collimator sight. This self-defense kit will be unveiled at the Dubai Airshow 2023 as part of the Russian exposition, highlighting the sight’s strategic importance in modern military applications.
