HAVELSAN, in collaboration with Turkish Airlines, is celebrating another major milestone as its second Boeing B737-8 MAX Full Flight Simulator (FFS) secures European EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) Level D certification.
In a bid to bolster aviation training, HAVELSAN entered a partnership with Turkish Airlines for the acquisition of 11 A320 CEO NEOs and Boeing 737 Max FFS and FTDs. In May 2023, the Turkish Airlines Flight Training Center achieved EASA Level D Certification for the first HAVELSAN-manufactured B737 MAX full flight simulator. Now, the company has reached this prestigious certification for the second time, underlining HAVELSAN’s strong commitment to innovation, quality, and aviation safety.
Mehmet Akif Nacar, Ph.D., CEO of HAVELSAN, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We are thrilled to announce the second EASA full flight simulator certification of a HAVELSAN-manufactured 737-8 MAX device. It symbolizes our shared dedication with Turkish Airlines to ensure that the simulator training infrastructure meets standards from around the globe.”
Bilal Ekşi, CEO of Turkish Airlines, also shared his satisfaction, saying, “We are satisfied in achieving Level D certification for our second simulator. This achievement reflects our dedication to ensuring the highest standards of safety and proficiency for our flight crews.”
HAVELSAN’s future plans involve seeking EASA certification for its Airbus A320 CEO/NEO manufactured full flight simulators. This step will further strengthen their position in the global airline and pilot training industry by showcasing top-notch Turkish-manufactured narrow-body aircraft flight simulators.
With four decades of experience in the simulation industry, HAVELSAN is dedicated to meeting the needs of Flight Simulator Training Devices on both domestic and international fronts. They are actively pursuing additional airline and training center operators, aiming to provide advanced solutions and promote their exceptional products to a wider audience.
