As seen on this Zambia Air Force day (2018) short video documentary, it appears that the service now operates at least one Elbit Systems Hermes 450 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), a video footage was uploaded on social media showing the Hermes 450 UAV being towed to the runway.

A photograph also surfaced online showing the Hermes 450 inside a hangar and clearly marked with both the Zambian flag and the ZAF roundel.
The Hermes 450 UAV had a satellite communications antenna that enables it to be controlled beyond the line of sight.
